Every listing on this site is built from public, attributable sources. This page explains exactly where each piece of information comes from, how often we check it, and how to get it corrected.
Where the listings come from
Dentist-London.com lists 2,144 dental practices across all 32 London boroughs plus the City of London. The backbone of the directory is the Care Quality Commission (CQC) register: every practice we list is CQC-registered, and we link each listing to its CQC location record. We show the registration and the date of the last CQC inspection. The CQC does not currently rate dental practices, so we never show or imply a CQC rating; where a historic pre-2019 inspection result exists we label it as exactly that.
Contact details, hours and treatments
Addresses, phone numbers, websites and opening hours come from public sources, primarily each practice's own website. We are progressively verifying treatment lists the same way: a treatment is only attached to a practice when the practice's own site names it — we don't infer or guess. Where we haven't verified something yet, we say so on the page rather than filling the gap.
Google ratings
Where a practice has Google reviews, we show the average rating and review count with "via Google" attribution. These ratings are collected by Google, not by us; we don't edit, weight or filter them. Practices without a Google rating simply show no rating — we never display empty stars or placeholder scores.
How often we check
Listings are re-verified on a rolling basis — a small number of practices every day, so the whole directory is refreshed continuously rather than in one annual sweep. Each practice page shows when its information was last verified, and our sitemap only reports a page as changed when its information actually changed.
Our crawler
If you run a dental practice website and found this page from your server logs: the visits are
from DentistLondonBot/1.0, our verification crawler. It fetches a handful of pages
per site, respects robots.txt, identifies itself honestly, and exists solely to keep
your practice's public details (hours, contact information, treatments) accurate in our
directory. If you'd like us to crawl less often or not at all,
contact us and we'll honour it.
Spotted an error?
If a listing shows the wrong details — yours or anyone's — please tell us via the contact page and we'll correct it promptly. Practice owners will also be able to claim their listing and manage details directly. For complaints about how we operate, see our complaints procedure.
What we don't do
- No pay-to-rank: featured placement is always labelled, and it never alters the underlying data.
- No invented reviews, ratings or "verified patient" badges.
- No medical advice: our content is general information, and every advice article says so.
